  1. Why is my email being blocked and received failure notice?


Every server connecting to the internet has a public IP address used for sending/receiving. Once the IP address has been abused and used to forcedly send unsolicited/bulk messages, that is the time that the third party anti-spam organization will tag it as blacklisted and resulted for the emails to return undelivered notice or failure notice.


But not all bounce mail or failure notice was due to blacklisted IP address. Here are some reasons that possibly experienced bounce mail even the IP address is not blacklisted:

  • Typographical error on the recipient’s email address.
  • The recipient’s mail server is down and cannot detected by our mail server
  • The message is looping due to set up of your emails with mail forwarding/mail aliases.



  1. How does the public IP address abused and tag as blacklisted?


Every mail server especially on a shared environment, there are numbers of accounts or email addresses resides on it. Once the account has been compromised due to reckless usage, spammer will used this email to send bulk/unsolicited emails and the third party anti-spam organization will tag it as blacklisted IP address.



  1. What is third party anti-spam organization?


Third party anti-spam organizations are group of people which monitors the reputation of an IP address if it sends bulk/unsolicited emails. Once they include the IP address into their database, you need to contact them (using the procedure they provided) to request for IP address removal to their database.
